I can’t believe it’s December. This year has gone by fast and has been transformational in numerous ways. Everything has sped up. There is less certainty and more chaos. Equally there are so many opportunities to shift and change – to let go of who you think you’re supposed to be and embrace who you are.
What has transformed in your life? How have you changed and grown? What have you healed? Have you done any shadow work letting go of old habits, relationships, beliefs… so you can be reborn as a different person with a fresh future? Or have you stayed the same?
Personally, I’ve changed a lot this year. I moved twice. I fell in love with an amazing man who completely complements me. While my self-care was already good, I made several lifestyle shifts that transformed my health and wellbeing. (I’ll share more about this in upcoming posts.)
The biggest shift has been vibrational. I am living more from energy than form. This means that rather than asking what can I get to make me happy, I work on staying positive and joyful. I step back, get curious, and watch life unfold from this high vibe place. I go to sleep grateful and wake up joyful, energized, and excited to start my day. When I’m feeling meh, I figure out what I need to do to feel better. Often it’s as simple as taking a walk, listening to inspiring music, or talking to a friend. The vibrational shift has attracted a life that’s perfect for me and miles above anything I could have dreamed up or forced to happen on my own.
I’m a transformation junkie, which is why I love helping other women change. It’s exciting to be a part of their journey. My work is to hold their hands and lift their dreams. And when they are consumed by confusion and fear, I shine love and compassion on the darkness. I’ve experienced bleakness, blackness, deep depression, and fear and know how to escape the traps that keep us stuck.
Blame it on my tiger totem. I’ve had nine plus lives including: corporate executive, minister, clinical nutritionist, journalist, author, celebrity chef, radio talk show host, personal fitness trainer, psychologist, and now life coach. Plus, I’m a Sagittarius lover of freedom and adventure.
Transformation is Cyclical
Transformation typically happens in cycles. It can be triggered by a life event, a health scare, or a global pandemic like Covid. You may experience depression or feel called to alter one or many aspects of your life.
My latest transformation started three years ago. God was I stuck. I felt like a hypocrite, because all my clients were getting amazing results – traveling, having adventures, starting businesses, growing, and learning. Me? I was in a stifling marriage that made me feel like a caged zoo tiger. I felt like I was dying. The days, weeks, months and years were passing and I was miserable. Comfortably uncomfortable, I was surviving, but not thriving.
So I listened to my heart, mustered up courage, and left. Then I went blind. My retina detached again and again and again. My left eye is weak, so I was terrified that I wouldn’t regain my sight.
The pain of divorce and breaking up my family coupled with the fear of living in darkness transformed me on a deep level. It was truly a crisis chrysalis period. What got me through? Self-compassion, learning to treat myself the way I would a good friend. When you must spend 19-20 hours a day face down on a massage table to save your sight self-kindness is a necessity.
Miraculously as 2020 is ending, I can see clearly now. All the pieces of my life are fitting in place. Clear perspective is one of the gifts of midlife. The kids move out, your body changes, and you reevaluate who you are and how you want to live. You get wiser and see life differently through clearer lenses. More time is behind you than in front and you know what truly matters.
Seconds, minutes, days, years and decades The seasons and holidays. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Birth and death. Our lives are filled with rhythms of time measured in a myriad of ways. Each season, every moment provides a fresh opportunity to shift our vibration. To show up loving and accepting ourselves regardless of what life tosses our way.
December is a month of clarity and light. This means if you’ve been struggling with your health, your relationships or finding your passion and purpose this month can bring answers. If you’ve done a lot of healing and work, December will be a time to rest up and regroup so you’re ready for 2021.
To help you, I’m sharing transformation techniques all month long in my private Facebook group. You can join HERE.
Yes, it’s been a crazy year. You’ve grown, survived, and are ready to transform even more so you can be part of the change that’s need now.
So let go of the fear and doubt. Flush that “I’m not good enough, worthy enough, smart enough, ready enough”. Enough! The probability of you existing at all comes out to 1 in 102,685,000 — that’s a 10 followed by 2,685,000 zeroes. You’re here for a reason. You’re running out of time. The world needs your light and love, so get moving.
Set an intention to upgrade, level up, and revise the way you treat and experience yourself. Ask who do I want to be and how do I want to feel. Do you want to wake up joyful, energized, and excited to start your day? Then change your thoughts, habits, and how you visualize your future now.
Remember, you can change. What has happened to you this year has shaken a lot loose. Who you are, where you’re going, and how you fit has been up ended. There have been enormous challenges and gifts that have helped you own your strengths and experience life differently. Unwrap these gifts and use them to propel you into a 2021 filled with love, success, and abundance.
